Rode to work this morning.  22F with a wind chill of 10F.  Light snow was suppose to start later in the morning and I figured that I would be home before that.  Not!  The snow started about halfway threw my run.  The roads where beginning to get white before I headed home, but made it without incident.

It got colder as the day progressed, but the snow stopped.  Rode to work this afternoon.  Was quite windy and cold.  Supposed to get down to 8F tonight.  Cold ride for the morning!  3 to 5 inches of snow tomorrow night.

That the one from Thailand?  How's the quality?  I have the same VDO gauge for the pressure.

Hi Greggo,

...nope! it isn't from Thailand it is from Taiwan and the quality is good.
I checked the temp with a digital equipment and it is 100% correct, I could not find any mark for the oil level but that is no problem, I have a good laser @work :)
Would like to check the VDO gauge @the weekend and how the temp gauge/dip stick will fit too.

Have a good one...Georg

G'Day Georg, I've been using one of those EBay thermometer dipsticks for around a year now, and it works great. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Oops!  I guess i got that temp wrong for this morning.  How about 2F for the ride in and 1F on the way back home. :o  Even tho I had my good gloves on, my fingers got a bit cold. >:(  They have downgraded the amount of snow we are suppose to get tonight to 1 to 2 inches.

My Tach is now making noise at about 3k and takes off toward 7k  without help from the engine.  Hope its just the cold and will be back to normal when things warm up a bit.

finished cleaning the cyl and head fins yesterday, now working on cleaning the cases.  using scotchbite pads followed with fine steel wool.  the valve cover/valve adj caps came out real nice.  the cyl fins have a nice, soft  finish w/no shine.  have removed the white oxidation and loose engine paint from the cases, and changed direction on the finish.  was going to hit the cases w/duplicolor silver but will leave 'em buffed and no paint.  i like the look, not overly done.

as a bonus it should run a little cooler now, with all the goop and bugs gone from the passages between the cylinders.

Managed to get the afternoon ride to work in.  Just started to snow when I headed home. ;)

Since it warmed up a little this afternoon, my Tach started working properly. :)

Suppose to get anywhere from 1 to 5 inches of snow tonight.  I don't think I'm going to be riding the Honda to Kalamazoo tomorrow to pickup my exhaust from SeanBarney41.

I've had my bike since the Summer of 2010, it was my father in law's bike.  Got it up and running by the end of August 2010.  Currently it is coming up on 45K, had 34K on it when I got it.

As for the bus, well its what I do!  I drive a school bus. But when the slippery stuff is on the road, I break out my CJ-7.  Always ride/drive safe, its my job!  I transport a priceless cargo.

Picked it up from Terry's place - with four new 130 main jest in it.

Rode it home and loved the ride, running so well now.

Took it to the park and took some photos.

Then did this...

If only there was a 1950 GMC pick up in Australia - I would trade my whole bike for it!

Well i polished my bike but i did a bit of work on my sons 73 CB500. I took the back wheel off to get a slight wobble taken out of it, i drained the tank and carbies as the fuel was a bit stale from not being ridden that much, lubricated a few things and checked the plugs. It goes like a rocket and sounds awesome but is out of registration at the moment.

I haven't seen anything on the purple bike - what color is that?  I like it.  Greggo, that's a good buy on the turbo bike, definitely worth it if you end up parting it out.  **COUGH***WHEELS*COUGH***  ;D
