It won't be there. Lost a shifter spring and cap during reassembly. Can't find it in the trailer where I was building it. Have put out a feeler on the hondamatic forum to a seller of a parts bike pieces. That's why I volunteered the brake setup. Something needs to go right in 10 days.  ;)

BILL:  More on those MSD MC1 BOX , I called my son and asked him did he remember that bad new MC1 that the guy from MSD gave me a new up-dated one years ago at CINCI.  Dealer show years ago.  He said the DEALER Rep. gave me a new MC2 up-dated model and that I asked him WHEN MSD was going to make a matching MSD ignition plate to work with their box for my KZ1000, he said soon = they never  did !!!!!!  Moving on :  Run all DYNA , DDK1-2 ELEC. BOX, DS1-2 IGNITION PLATE, Dyna coils and Gray DW800 WIRES for the 69-78 CB750's.  Ask Dan Rudd owner of MPS about the DYNA parts being good as GOLD, he is good as gold as he was born and raised in Columbus,Ohio my home town = moved SOUTH years ago for the SUN ..... FUN.

It seems most of the Dyna failures have been with units made about 3-5 years ago. Both Dyna-S and Dyna 2000 ignitions have failed....

Dyna III from mid-80-s still works. Keeping my fingers crossed on my Dyna 2000.

We have a working PM caliper and M/C!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3-4 hrs of work after driving to Jim's and back! ;).Ended up needind double shim amount on one end! :o ::) ;D The ONLY 8 piston rear calipered CB750A!!!!!!!!! 8) Bill
Now to install linelock(came today,Thanks,Jon!) ;D

The old rear calipers are dead weight and possibly some friction loss. Either the PM caliper holds it still or it shouldn't be there. There's no way that you or Sam will hold the lever and button with the same hand and release both. 2 seconds of holding power is the definition of it working. I don't start working on the Pro ET electronics until I hear that the brake/line lock holds. I may install it on Friday at the track. I'll need about a 3" by 5" area to velcro it in place. Something to think about.

If the PM caliper alone can't hold back the motor, you could wire the line-lock to a brake light switch, activated by the hand lever.

     With a bigger diameter rear rotor, that setup held an 1180 cc, 10 second quarter mile Hondamatic drag bike on the starting line. If it doesn't hold Sam's motor, someone is tipping the nitro can in that gas tank...... :o
     Bill needs a test and tune track day before we all go to Valdosta. That's the verification for the efforts. Then he can take the extra unused rear brake weight off of the back of that bike.

That brake lever looks a bit short, Bill. I found this one to be too short, leverage-wise, but that is with a Gremeca dual piston caliper and 5/8" master. It works, but requires more pedal pressure than I like.
