I truly understand Bill. I had just recieved my freshly ported top gas head, noticed the box was damaged before i opened it and had a bad feeling. PArt of the problem was, one of the ladies in the office accepted the box from the driver while i was not around. Opened the box and found one corner had all of the fins cracked. This was a $4500 head!!!!!!!!!!! Problem was, UPS didn't want to pay the damn claim. Luckily the pieces were there and the porter had it repaired almost like new. Fortunately it didn't affect performance. I hope your luck is the same as mine in terms of usefulness.

3 cylinder 50cc Suzuki Mike for 1968. FIM rule changes messed every ones plans up.
I wonder what it cost to develop that only for it to end up in a museum or on the scrap heap.
It's the same in the car world. Honda came back into F1 only to find that their motor was nowhere near up to the job.
By the time they build a competitive motor, you can bet the FIA will have changed the rules yet again.

I remember that motor, Sam. IIRC, the new rules forbid that many gears, which it needed to keep it on the pipe(s) from 19,500-20,000 RPM. The claimed output was 18 HP, which I remember as it was the equivalent of 6 HP per cubic inch. :o

I'm scared now Jerry, cause I was thinking the same thing. Since it doesn't affect function, personally I would not be to concerned about the aesthetics. Umm,  sorry Billy Bling, Bling. Lol

Samauto II coming right along! Jon, 34mm CBX750 Australia carbs mounted and jetted, 45 pilots, 140 mains!  ;D, New bars and tach next. New,braided front brake line, and rear. Gotta build a starter system, 24 volts needed we think. Hope to fire it up this week. Also going with a 525 chain and sprocket setup. EK has DRZ Dragracing one now. Has a heavy 630 now, can save some weight for sure. Need a 12 cell and a 4 cell for 24 volt setup. Stay tuned. Got a 36mm GSXR? flat slide CV set  also. The RC ignition cover should be worth. 2!!
