Well my first order from the business named above arrived quickly. However, my elation turned to dismay when I noticed that the front spokes and nipples were a different color that the rear....To complicate matters, the rear spokes didn't fit in the hub, the bend was too small.
    I sent them an e-mail, and it was suggested to me that I have an "f2" model, whatever that is. Now it seems that I'm stuck with two sets of spokes tha don't match, and one of which won't fit my bike......   and yes, the front spokes will fit through the rear hub.  I think their parts are wrong, as the package was opened before I got it......Anyone else  have this problem?     I could have used "Blue Shannons" if I wanted aggravation.....

I'm no expert on 550's but DSS are pretty good - if you've inadvertantly ordered the wrong bits, or they've stuffed up, a quick email will get it sorted. If you're about the umpteenth owner of the bike (like most of us are) then it might have the wrong wheel on it or anything.
I've found DSS service and responses excellent.

I agree, DSS are pertty fair although their returns policy stinks if you ordered the wrong part in a  genuine mistake as they charge a 20% returns fee. However, all is not lost. If you claimt he spokes are not original finisha nd the bags were clearly previously opened, I'd email them and explain and ask for a replacement. They usually oblige without argument.

However, if as Peter says you have a mix of model parts making up your 550 and the wheel is an F2 then the onus is on you to get the right part for the mix and match bike you have.

Email them and explain your predicament, they will help as much as they can.
