One more final to go

And then I'm free for a few weeks.
I farted and made my son cry.

How's the 75 XS650 project coming along?
I found a 36 spoke front drum hub that I'll lace to the front stock wheel, I like the look of front drums and think it will look cool on the bobber theme I'm going for.  I found a hard tail kit for $250.00 shipped to Alaska.  After pricing shocks, swing arm parts and a seat plus all the shipping I'll be money ahead going the hard tail route.  I plan on springing the seat with one of the shocks to save the spine.  I'm trading the guy a CL 360 tanks for it. I'm still looking for a rear brake plate, axle and adjusters.  The rear axle is rusted so bad to the steel bushing in the brake plate I can't get it to budge after hitting with WD-40 and heat around twenty times.  I don't have heat in my work area so I have been pulling little projects into my laundry room to work on them while it's cold.

how long is your riding season there?
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

If you don't mind freezing your nuts off, you can stretch the season to about 6 months.  That's variable however.

The motorcycle season is as long as snowmachine season.  Nothing more puckering as doing 90 mph on snow and ice!

I have a similar problem with my 75.  It is in a friends garage and winter has put an end to doing anything unless I can bring the parts home.  I am working on a plan to bring it home and get it down into the basement once I clear out an area from all my woodworking projects.  I had my 79 up on the second floor of a big old house I rented years ago so steps are no obstacle.  The wife on the other hand..... ;D

I wish the house was big enough.  As it is the shed is almost as big as the house :-\

I FEEL for ya, I have that space problem myself. No room in the garage and house isn't very big either. Seems like there are several of us in that boat. :-\

Now, if only Santa would bring us some "Space", that had decent temperatures as well. ;)

Like I said, in "MY thread" COME ON SPRING! ;)

Yeah, seems like no matter what OUR situation is, some have it worse. And I FEEL for that!

Bill,
It seems that it may not be that your house and garage are not reasonable size, it's just the sheer number of vehicles that pass through your hands. ;D  My single car garage already has one car and two bikes in it and I did have the best intentions to sell the car but..... ;D  Maybe next year when I hope to build a two car garage.
