1970 CB750K0 chain guard..Plastic?
« on: December 06, 2009, 04:40:54 PM »
My bike came without a chainguard..I need one. There's one on eBay now, says it's plastic. I thought that guard was metal...Does plastic sound right? Thanks

Yes, black plastic is correct for the K0. One in very good condition can go for a few $$!

Yes, the black plastic is great as you never have to paint it. But they can get beat up pretty bad. Be sure to check it over good on eBay.

Make sure you check the length first...later ones were longer and were copied in plastic.

The change to the longer chain guard occurs at Frame #1021879 which was extended to alleviate lube fling.

I better pay attention, I'm using a swingarm and chainguard from a 102???? on my 101XXXX.  Right or not, It's going on there. Chrome swingarm and chrome chainguard are coming off.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
