I must be living in Sandcast COUTY and the utilities are provided by Sandcast energy and my wife - her name is Sandcast. I'm driving a Sandcast car and I use Sandcast gasoline etc.. but that seat still seems expensive.

Will somebody buy that?

You can have what appears to me to be the same seat from CMSL for 160 Euros. See pic below from their site and I will let you be the judge.

This guy's out of his gord. If that "restored" seat is worth what the starting bid is, my N.O.S. Genuine Honda "correct for a k5" seat should be worth at least 1000.00. Or has it appreciated in value since I put it on in '03? Maybe it's worth more.... Barrett-Jackson here I come!!!!

Well I reckon the mighty K1 is actually rarer than the K0, as it was only made for one year, (not two like the K0) and the prices of K1 stuff is getting silly. Tom (El Cheapo, parts trader extrordinaire and international EC pusher) sold me a speedo and tach for 50 bucks with some other parts (and a can of EC) thrown in, and they're just as good as a pair that sold on Ebay a couple of weeks later for 400 bucks!

Anyone got any K1 parts lying around? I'm gonna start hording them now, ha ha! Oh, I couldn't help myself, I asked the seller a question too........... Cheers, Terry.

I agree the CMS seat is fine. Who would know once the seat was on the bike? Could a $1500 seat add that much value to a bike? I think not?

You have to wonder what is meant by "restoration" here. I know you can get replacement covers and foam for the K0 seat, so what that would mean is the pan is original?? Can't see that kind of money to salvage the orig. pan.

Thass it Bob me old mate, the paint on the pan isn't original, neither is the chrome, new screws, vinyl paint, silicon foam treatment, etc etc, you may as well just buy a repro seat with nice new foam and vinyl. Silly buggers......... ???l

I know a guy who has several NOS CB750 seats in boxes, (including K0) i wonder if he knows what they're "worth"? He's not a computer guy, and doesn't have email, so I wonder if I could........... Hmmmnnnn............... Nah, I better not. $:-\$

To All, You know it's not easy for the average guy. The new bikes,if you can actually find one you like (I'd rather have a 60's-70's Honda than about anything out there, myself. The new Norton and the Indians that are coming might be nice but, too much $$$$.) Even then, you could end up spending some pretty good $$$$$ to get, build and maintain it. Of course, if you've got the patience, you can hold the price down some. My problem is I get frustrated but, I keep on hoping. Case in point, I.ve got an 80' (not SOHC, I know) CB750K that I did some trading to get. The 1st thing I did was to remove the Wind Jammer, Rear rack w/ trunk and the King/Queen seat. Then I started thinking about the headlight and mounting it. I ended up finding one on ebay $13.00 (cost & S&H) I had seen these listed on ebay for $15-29 so far and that's not including S&H! Now, I'm looking for a headlight (as you might now there are alot of wires that have to fit into it. So far, the ones I've found have been pretty pricey. Anyway, I'm still looking. Seems like some people think this stuff is made outa Gold. Catch you later, Bill

The cover looks a bit loose mate, is that because the foam cushion has shrunk? My foam cushion on my K1 has shrunk, and my new cover is a bit loose like that one on yours? Cheers, Terry.

Terry, I gotta tell you that I agree with Jim Shea. Offer the guy a fair price and go from there. The thing is, we're talking about the cost of these parts, shouldn't we be helping each other out? I mean what does that say about us, if we're going to take advantage of others who might have turned around and helped us one day? It seemed like alot of the guys who ride SOHC (& even the older DOHC) Hondas were kind of like a brotherhood, you know? Anyway, I've spoken my piece and I hope I haven't put anybody to sleep.
