Naw, Spikey, it's a factory part fitted between the oil filter housing and engine case on the late CB750F.  Nothing special and of dubious value.  RR

Yes, I've seen it.

 The 77 and 78 F model CB750 had those installed between the normal oil filter and engine block.  It's a Honda Item.
I think it needs a longer mount bolt, too.

Yup stock +1 on the longer bolt.
 I am wondering, this can cause header clearance problems, maybe..

I installed one of those "F" model cooler-adapters on a 1974 CB750 "K" model with the factory stock exhaust pipes. Direct bolt-on without any fitment or clearance issues. However, you do need to use the longer "F" oil filter bolt and spacer. The "K" model oil filter, spring and washer will work just fine.
