so i've got my back wheel off...

for paint and polish mostly, but since its off is there anything i should check for? chain is new, wheel bearings are new, tires are new, sprocket is good... anything else i should be looking for??? thanks! oh ya 73 cb500

check the brake shoes and the drum condition.
I've had the stopping material separate from the aluminum backer on one end of the shoe.
everything I say is pure speculation and
I have no idea what I'm talking about  ._.

Rim for true, spokes for frozen/ uniform tightness, rust build-up/pitting. center spacer for presence & tauntness, cush drive to hub spacer for presence. shoes for lining/cracks. brake cam for clean/lube/wear.brake panel for proper bolt/washers/nut cotter. stay arm for same.
