Topic: Opinions Please - Stator screws vs hex???

So I have the side covers off the K4 for polishing. Just how many of you change out those cover screws for the hex. I was able to get all the screws out without buggering them up at all. Have not found a source yet for the hex as the person on the boards has not returned my message. So I am considering just putting those screws back in? What do you think?

Do you mean the screws holding the alternator cover in place, or the screws holding the windings in place inside of the cover?

Whenever I bought one of these SOHC4 bikes, it was SOP to replace the screws with stainless allen bolts.

Search metric screws, buy a box of the longest size you need and cut to fit. Cheap!!

Yes, those are the covers. I am talking not just those 3 above the HONDA emblem, but all holding the cover in place. I just found another source on eBay I think I used them before. Great feedback so I think I will change them all out. Thanks for the info.
