I love my Springfield 1903A4 for hunting...well it's an A4 clone I made out of a sporterized A1. I usually just use it for target fun since the barrel is a little worn out but it's surprisingly accurate. The kick is something else with a solid wood stock that just has a metal plate on the end  ;D

30.06 is my favorite...plus I have a whole crapload of tracer rounds mmmmm they are just plain cool.

Thanks for the info on the AMT ofreen, I knew it has heavy springs but was confused about the why. I like the old Browning 380 auto, it fits my hand perfectly and holds a dozen rounds.

You're welcome.  They are good guns.  Mine has held up under a lot of rounds.  They were generally well put together, though like anything manufactured, may vary in quality from gun to gun.

In this Month's issue of the American Rifleman the cover story is about the new generation of lightweight and compact .380 Autos. If you can get your hands on a copy, it would be a worthwhile read.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!
