Tools anyone?
« on: January 20, 2010, 09:33:15 AM »

I really hate it when a compony goes down the drain. And I hate it even more if it's a motorcycle company.

Although HD and Buell are not my favourite bikes, this makes me feel sad for Erik Buell and his employees:

China will probably end up with it. I worked at a sheet metal shop that got weekly calls from chinese buyers wanting to buy used tooling.

I did not view the link.
 but thought I should mention,

Auctions are a fact of Life in this World..you can view this in many ways.. While it may be the end of one era, it may be the beginning of another.. Who knows, there could be the next new Britten or Goldammer out there on the bidding floor, just getting going on the next exciting chapter....hmmm..

this makes me feel just as bad as when i've had to go to farm auctions. watching a family losing generations of work and land.

Farm auctions can be sad, especially if they are losing the farm from poor grain prices and such. Being forced to auction is the worst. I have seen a number of them. Happened to my family, but we kept the farmstead itself at least.
