That's good to hear Garrett. Remember, criminals don't go to crappy parts of town to look for nice things to steal. If I were looking for a particular type of Mercedes, do you think I'd go to Oak Cliff looking for it? No, I'd go to some nice part of town where people feel safe. I found this yesterday, have a look. It confirms a lot of my suspicions.

Thanks for that info Tim! good stuff there. i think the best bet for me (which has paid off in the past) is keeping myself private, ie door closed and keeping everything to myself. luckily my last apartments were secure enough, i have cops for neighbors that were really cool with me and all the maintenance men knew my bikes and truck, so they were always looking out for things since i let them borrow tools :-D

might have to go to harbor freight and get a dummy dome camera or something! it's all about making things a bigger hassle for thieves. the bigger the inconvenience, the better off you are.

Any thoughts as to if i reversed my initial color scheme? I posted the red frame and wheels with white tank. Any thoughts if i did white wheels and frame with a red tank? this has been mulling around in my mind for awhile now...

Always liked white wheels, and red tanks. However, white frames show every bit of oil & dirt. Depends on how much time you want to spend, keeping it looking like the 1st day.

If you did go white frame I would only look at using powder coat.

ok, how about polishing the spokes or powdercoating them? i COULD go white on the spokes?? or would that be too much? candy-cane-ish?

Personally I'd stay with plain SS spokes, easier to maintain. Mine aren't polished, and you really don't miss it. You could just add a red pin stripe to white rims for something different.

ya, i was going to do rimstripes. safety and looks!

i hate this stage of the process though: having to wait around until the frame is completely ready before i can batch coat everything! i don't want to risk any color differences by doing 2 powdercoat trips at different times...

on another note: i'm going to do a FULL inventory of all parts i have here within the next few weeks before i move into the new apartment, so i can hopefully compile an entire list of things i have so far! very exciting, i know!

Received an email from Rob (Voxonda) today saying that my parts are together and he should have them shipped out by the end of the week. He even included a picture of everything he's shipping me, so this will be a great box to receive!!

i ordered my swingarm awhile ago, i believe 1" over w/ shock mounts in the stock location. this is what Rob recommended for me. i paid 300 +/-??, but i really don't remember.... all i know is i kept sending him money, and he kept putting parts aside. hopefully all of it gets shipped today or tomorrow!!

Got my parts from Rob finally! it's been a long wait (luckily i'm patient, but Rob's a great guy still!), but well worth it!!

Black items are motor mounts and silver items are preload adjusters and Ti rocker nuts. bearings are already installed with zerk fittings as well. VERY high quality! i recommend everyone support Rob over Carpy if they can!!

i fully recommend any and all of rob's pieces. his quality is great and customer service is amazing! when he shipped, he did so USPS priority international; package arrived in < 5 business days! parts are great!

You will need #120 main jets for that 4 into 1 exhaust.
But first you have to finish the carbs and I do not know where you will get new throttle shaft seals which are CRITICAL!

got some made from felt from a member on here who punched them out. i think they'll be ok. you think the 120's will be good with slightly increase compression, 4th over bore, PD carbs and a bigger cam??

Yes i do. Rob has a reinforced front mount also, which i didn't get. It would interfere with my road oriented case guard, which acts as a motor mount stiffener anyway.

I got his ti nuts too, and something else i think, can't remeber. Love hand made parts.

For me, its overkill but sure looks pretty.
