new handle bars
« on: January 23, 2010, 09:44:59 AM »
I want to replace my 75 honda CL360 bars with something a little lower,
they seem to measure about 5 1/2 rise same amount of pullback 29 inches wide. can someone give me several web sites that list 7/8 dia.
handle bars. I'm interseted in something with maybe only a 2 inch rise,
29 to 31 inch width, 5 to 6 inch pullback.

Not wanting tro spend couple hundred for bars, but some of the $22.00
stuff has to be tiawan, chinese. I spend more then $22.00 for mexican
food on saturdays not wanting nothing but junk lol.

price doesn't always equal quality, if you want to pay top dollar I've got some bars, and a bridge to sell you.  Try a set of 'superbike' bars.

True but at $22.00 you can bet the chrome is just junk, not that the original chrome on japanese motorcycles of the 70s was much to brag about lol.

have any web sites or brands ?

i paid 26.95 for my superbike bars new, the chrome is fantastic, the bends are all nice and even too. just because it's inexpensive doesnt mean it's cheap thats a bad habit to get into. i did pay top dollar when i had to, and most of it if not all of that was the OEM honda stuff i used on my 2 year long rebuild. with these bikes, save money wherever you can because they'll nickel and dime you to death.

I hear that on nickel dime to death, original chrome stuff was not that great from japan in the 70s, so i guess it does not matter that much.

Where did you find renthal bars for $35.00, I'm looking at them just googling sites they seem to be in the $61.00 to $78.00 range.

He started doing a Buy it now only recently, I actually had to contact him directly with an offer for 35. However, if you bid chances are you can get it for less based on his auction history. I made the mistake of not looking the first time, could saved like 10 bucks.
