clogged emulsion tube

Hey everyone.  Hypothetically, if I had a clogged emulsion tube in my carb, would that cause a lean, or a rich mixture condition?

it would cause a semi rich condition ... and you would but putting non dilouted gas into the intake... the job of the "tube" is to mix air into the fuel and atomize the fuel.... so the gas would be going into the intake more of a liqued :( (you need VAPORized fuel) and not vapor... so yes it would be RICH... and rich would be heard in the exhaust.... as a pop sounds... as the fuel exits.. and ignights on he inside of the HOT exhaust pipes...

LEAN= pops out the carb... lean creates HOT cycl temps and the hot gas along with hot temps cause any remaining fuel in the intake during valve overlap to "pop" in the intake and semi ignight... if it is really bad and a semi richness happens i have seen little flashes come out of carbs that have no air filter...
