CB 750 rear wheel and probably swing arm with welding on the frame

Ha ha, you're dreaming mate. Back in the 1970's there was a rear disc conversion kit for a CB750 that was mega-expensive and disappeared soon after the first rear disc braked CB750's were released, because people found it cheaper to buy the parts from a wrecked CB750F/F1 and do their own conversion.

To be honest though, the early "F" rear disc setups were horrible, and caused more crashes than they've helped avoid. The F2/F3 rear discs were less "grabby" and not as prone to lock up as the F/F1, but really, apart from aesthetics, you don't need a rear disc, and would be better off converting your front brakes to dual disc to get maximum stopping power. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

In past discussions about rear disc brake, the following point is often made:

The rear drum brake is already strong enough to lock up the rear wheel pretty easily, so increased braking force is wasted back there.

There may be other reasons to want to convert though.  What's your friend looking to accomplish?

Good job mate. Most of us just modify the speedo drive flange. but there's nothing like thorough engineering! Cheers, Terry. ;D

im about done doing this on my 750.i bought a cbr hurricane rear wheel and am using cbr 600 f3 brake parts, the caliper and bracket.i made a plate to bolt the master cylinder onto and am going to try and use rearsets off of some kind of honda that i bought a few years ago.the wheel issue isnt really a big deal, you will just have to make some spacers to fit it to your swingarm.
