Women Riders of the FIM
« on: March 04, 2010, 04:45:28 PM »
i think it should be noted the women featured here never suggest they are making a "girl power" statement; they are simply competitors who happen to be women. as much as i dearly love women i am fed up with media hyping women in motorsports as sex objects.

They interviewed Melanie Troxel, the NHRA driver about how unusual it is for her to be a competitive driver, she said- you think so? I don't, there are a lot of women drag racers, no big deal. She just wants to be the best driver.

shirley muldowney went along with the sex identity using the "cha cha" prefix but it was the sixties/ seventie after all... she was all business aside from that.
