HOW DO YOU REMOVE MAIN JETS ON A K2?
« on: March 09, 2010, 10:32:27 PM »
MY 1972 CB 750 STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL CARBS IT WAS BORN WITH.  ARE THE MAIN JETS SCREWED OR PRESSED IN?  HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE MAIN JETS?  I KNOW YOU REMOVE THE IDLE JETS BY UNSCREWING THEM WITH A SCREWDRIVER.

Slow and main Jets are screw/nut fit - remove with small socket. Remove float bowl cover. Jets visible - also have slot for flat-blade screwdriver. Advise using socket. Both are positioned between the floats.

A six point socket to be real specific.

8mm if memory serves

Don't crank the emulsifier tube / main jet down to hard when putting back in carb body for fear of cracking the alloy housing.  ;)
