Topic: 1976 cb750f left side cover

Will a side cover for a 1976 cb750f fit a 1978 cb750f?  I understand that it wouldn't be a perfect fit, but would it be able to mount on my bike?

Left side covers are not interchangeable, only the rights.

Just installed the new LPM side covers on my F1 last weekend, looks great!  I did buy the 6 new grommets to go in the frame tabs, my old ones were pretty badly torn up from the PO.
