500 / 550 cylinder studs finished

We finished a limited run on our heavy duty cylinder studs for CB500 and CB550s. Part# CSH500.

If you have any on order, they should go tomorrow. If you want some, better call now 661-256-7309  E-maoil salespat@aperaceparts.com

I need a set now. I had 2 stockers that got "Combat Locked" on my top case.

E-mailed Pat, so make sure you save a set!

UNBELIEVABLE- Got those 2 headstuds out and kept the original threads. Had to CNC a "mini torqueplate" that got secured with the 2 opposing fasteners, leveled the case out with supersecret sideplates, and ran a 6mm drill dead center (cut that stud like butter!), then broke out the trusty screw extractor...................................they spun right out. I even had the Heli-coils primed for the show.

Man, I am happy. Getting in the motor is a sickness, thank goodness there are less readily available Hi-Po parts for 550's........... :D

Rolled threads, or cut..on them new studs.. ???

Secret sideplates.. ???

 Next case top I machine, I am going to set it on a bar just under crankpin size, then shim that if needed..!

 I have use secret sideplates on  car heads, I have bored a few Kawi case, but cant remember what , I did..... aging  I guess.. :(

I'd like to give a big thanks to APE for making a set of these for me.  They worked out great!
1977 CB550F.  Mostly Stock.

i just had to pull the 718 apart to chase the mystery leak. definitely putting a set of these in now.
