I have NO clue whatsoever about them except that they are in a box awaiting use.

BTW, the cover for the cold start can be removed; the springs keep the valves seated.

I got little aluminum covers to replace the cold start assembly

That 150 air jet still bugs me, but hey, if it works, it works!

what change did you notice when you changed emulsions,there does not seem to be a standard setting that works with similar engines with these carbs.billp

Something wrong there should be able to work it out with jets.
 I don't have the manuals, but they point you toward which jet. You should work with sometimes.
When you say seems to want a leaner main, it sounds like you are not on the main yet..

You may be on to something, Jonny; with 125 mains, 185 air corrections, and foam air filters my bike is rich at WFO from 4500 RPM up, measured with a sniffer on the dyno. Are you running open stacks?

3" open stacks......I went from 115 to 120 main jet last night and the burble came on the highway. No noticeable change at the top end.

When I used the 125s, the carbs were soaking wet with gas when I pulled the apart and my milage was 20mpg which is really bad even for a hondamatic


I also tried 35f9 idles...way too lean, 40f9 were much better, I couldn't feel any difference when I went to my 45F8

With the matic, there's no slipping the clutch to get past any flat spot

how about a pic of your bike with the webers,must look cool,when I firs got my webers I was told that the 115s may be too lean but they work okay,200 air,f11 tubes,bill

The carbs shouldn't be soaking wet with 125 mains??? Do you have the proper stacks? I noticed in the tuning guide you posted that there were two different style aux venturi; one for stacks and one without. Bill P's 38 carbs didn't need the stacks to lock the aux in place like my carbs. Do your stacks look like mine on the left side, or do they have a flat flange with two mounting holes like the ones I sent Bill?

now they look NEW! polished screws too,they must be as close to new as you can get,you have 170 air,f7 emuls,105 main in case you were wondering.could   not get the stain from boots off but there will be others on there,would have polished the stuff too but we know why not!haha .also new pump o rings on there billp
