Topic: late model 4 - 4 exhaust on my k4 750

i am picking up a 77 or 78 4 - 4 exhaust from a fellow member tomorrow and i know that likely i'mm have to make some different brackets to get them to fit. my question is, what can or should be done to the baffles in these pipes to get a bit more flow and sound? i dont want noise that is going to attract the police, but a nice healthy sound and maybe a little more performance. i've never had my hands on a set of stock pipes from a 750k from those years.

The end caps are welded on on these pipes so the internals aren't going to be modified without cutting.  You could perhaps drill some additional holes in the end caps but I'm not sure of the results.  I would suggest confirming that the inside baffling system is still firmly in place in the pipes you are purchasing.  I have had my hands on a number of sets where major portions of the baffling is rattling around inside even though the outsides of the pipes look good.  Shake the pipes to see if heavy stuff is moving around inside. If so then you should pass on the pipes unless you want to cut them open, modify and then close em back up. Have fun . . .
