I've been in the market for a Honda 4 stroke dirtbike to go toolin' around with my work friends... I didn't want to spend more than grand on one but have had trouble finding a bike that wasn't molested.
I went on CraigsList yesterday morning and low and behold there's a guy selling a barely used 2003 CRF230 for only $1,200. Most of the ones i've looked at were at least 1,700, and were in rough shape.
I called him immediately and set up an appointment to look at it, he said after I called 6 other people did within the hour. Thankfully I was able to drop by after work and take a look at it, the bike was immaculate. Basically it was a brand new dirtbike, still has the factory tires and not a bit of damage or dirt on it.
The guy's story was he bought it from a neighbor who's wife never rode it so it was just sitting there, he paid $1,200 for it. So this guy buys it to go riding with his younger son, and ends up never riding it himself. He said he would have felt bad if he sold it and made a profit off of his neighbor, so he sells it for the amount he had in it.
What a find!
