Today I was able to sneak away and spend some time on the bike. I installed my Works rear shocks and the GL1000 pre load adjusters Voxonda made up for me, Thanks! I picked up a hella H4 headlight conversion so I can run a brighter headlight and ditch the sealed beam. I also swapped out my oil lines for some stainless ones I had made by a local shop for only $40! Thanks BWJ for the heads up. Had some powdercoat done to in gloss black to my gauges, controls and levers. Now I am just waiting for my head to return from A.P.E. so I can finish up the bike before the weather gets better.

Those are sweet Tige. It will be cool to compare our suspension once everthing is put together. Thanks for the heads up on the H4 conversion. I will be in Oregon this weekend so maybe I will look around to save on tax and shipping.

I've been following your thread since I joined, and have found my inspiration bike. I bought a '76 CB750F a couple weeks ago, and plan on doing something similar with my bike.

Great job. I have very little experience, but your build is giving me the motivation to build my bike next winter.

Ok, so I loved the motogpwerks stainless pipe because; 1. Its stainless 2. the smooth bends looked great. The problem was the fit on my F bike (taller oil cooler/filter) would hit the pipe because of lack of clearance. So if I ran this pipe I would have to remove the pipes each time I wanted to change the oil. This would not be a problem on a K bike because K's do not have the additional puck under the filter housing added to F bikes for extra cooling.

So I picked up the next best option, IMO, for a 4-1 besides running a Kerker. The fitment issue was driving me crazy so I broke down and got a Yamiya (model - 70mm-L size). Not 100% sure about the difference in the pipes yamiya sells but I believe the 70mm L pipe has a larger circumference muffler tube and looks to be longer than the yamiya pipes sold on ebay. I ordered the pipe directly from yamiya from the website and got a little price break versus ebay. The pipe was at my door in less than one week (I was shocked because of the unfortunate disaster). Finish on the pipe is great and I could not be happier, unless it was stainless. I am not too stoked on the welded bends, but I would rather have a pipe that fits better than have smooth bends, and I am sure performance difference is negligible. Also I love the look of the swan neck bends from the head to the collector.

The bike is lookin sweet and that Yamiya pipe will really finish it off nicely.
It'll be interesting to hear how the sound compares to the MotoGP pipe.

Let's hope your head arrives with sufficient time to button it up and ride to Tsawassan.

If the bikes not back together I still plan om making the trip to check it out, but really hope the bike is done.

I plan on holding on to the old (motoGP) pipe for awhile, possibly sell it this summer when demand is high. I want to recoup most of the cash I laid out for the pipe to keep the wife happy, since this is my 3rd pipe on this build. I also spent a ton of time polishing the raw stainless pipe to give it a finished look.

The Yamiya pipe is chrome while the motoGP pipe is raw stainless that I polished up.

I actually ended up getting Carpy's one that is the same(with a closed in back where I mounted my taillight) and I'm very happy with it. And it was cheaper than both of those($120).

Thanks for sharing the link Mandic. It really jus comes down to which option you want for a tail section. Hidden light or off the back end. The open tail section I used was kind of a pain in the arse to get the light hidden up inside like I wanted.
