Me to, I just hope I get all the clearance i need to comfortably run the cam.

 What was piston to valve for the intake and exhaust? I'm surprised the reliefs weren't deep enough. Obviously the relief diameter was OK as you are using stock size valves. I've generally had more problems with relief diameter and oversize valves. That 65 cam would really wake that engine up.

My problems just might have been my lack of skills degreeing in the cam and being fairly new working with old Hondas.  The exhaust clearance was about .60, This made me a bit concerned and I did't want to grind on the valve pockets.  I am going to run what I have for now while I look for a donor motor to build up.  I am keeping the cam for this next build.  I figure I will build my dream motor and slap it in this bike rather than starting another bike.

Possibly a 890 or just higher compression 836.

Here is the plan
* undercut trans
* lighten/balanced crank with rods
* complete head work (what ever MRieck recommends)
* all new bearings and chains
* M3 racing cam chain tensioner
* lightened rockers
* Megacycle 165 cam

This will be cone as funds become available so I can stay married. ;D  I got the K engine tore down last night and all looks good inside.  I just happy I found this forum with such a wealth on knowledge.

Man you got me thinking.  I just picked up a "spare" F2 head to port and rework.  Planned to swap it onto my bike, but now I'm just thinking I will find a K motor to overhaul and do all the trick things I want to do...

I don't remember you ever mentioning, what chain/sprocket setup are you running on your bike?  I just ordered a setup to conver to a 530 chain with a slightly taller gear ratio(3.0 instead of the stock 3.07).  So I'm curious with other F riders are running.

915 kit showed up so I boxed up the trans, crank, cylinders, super rods, and 915 sleeves and sent them of to Jay @ APE to work his magic.  Now I just need to find the cash to pay MRieck for the head work to be done.

No major problems with the head I was never 100% confident with my skills at rebuilding it so I sent it to one of the experts.  Cycle X makes some nice piston kits, I have one of there 915 kits for my engine build.  I just like the Dynoman kit better at the time.

Hey tweakn I like the build.  I must have missed the problem with your first head.  What issues did you run into to send it out to APE again?  Did you consider the cycle X 836 or did you just prefer the dyno man kit?

Thats on Dash Point road.  It kind of a cut off from Federal Way to Tacoma.  Some good road but in most parts the speed limit is 35 and it's heavily patrolled by the men in blue.

I am using a GoPro HD.  The location of the mount on my bike wasn't the best so it vibrated and effected the quality of the shot and I am still learning how to edit.  I edit with basic Imovie on my mac.

My carbs were leaking bad out of the #3 air jet. After limping home I found a piece of cotton insulation looking material about the size of a pea under the float valve seat. I may have had an intake leak as well. Just spent the day wrenching and took it for yet another shake down run and its running great again. I put new intake rubbers on cleaned the carbs and changed oil along with a carb sync.

Almost completed.  I oiling it up tonight and will fire it up in the am.  I still need to redo the seat I made because it looks like ass and work out the license plate location due to possible clearance issues.  But here it is.
