what does "1 turn" amount to when talking about a/f mixture screws

Once the a/f screws are gently seated it says per the clymer manual to go out 1 to 1 1/8 turn. But what exactly is "1 turn". 180 degrees of the phillips head once gently seated, or a full 360? Because honestly the term "1 turn" is a vague statement.

Noob question but valid nonetheless! hahah

one turn is one complete revolution = 360 degrees. mine are flat head screws. so i count each time it comes around as 1/2 a turn...

Valid question and right answer. I was stumped on the 'till seated' part for a long while. As for the turn out, I couldn't figure the 1/8th with super accuracy, so settled on a 1/4. Bike seemed fine. Good luck. ^^
