Bands you might not know but should.
« on: April 23, 2010, 10:43:20 AM »
I have a pretty extensive music library but am always looking for more. Right now is one of those times. I am getting burnt out on what I have. Post anything here. I am interested to see what other people are into.

Beruit is a band I found out about a few years ago and it seems that not a lot of people have heard of them.

The Heavy is a newer band I believe, I've just heard of them recently, but I think they are pretty good.

Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

It means the same thing here. I believe they took their name from a 1970s board game called Husker Du . They are from Minnesota so they might have some Scandanavian ties within the band as well.

That clip from the Joan Rivers' show was cool. Never saw that before. I miss Bob Mould rocking the Ibanez V.

If you like Sevendust, try "Dark new day". Clint Lowery left Sevendust for a while and started a band with his brother and though similar to Sevendust it was very good music.

maybe a little too much for the general populous, heavy as it gets. Old stuff over the newer. lead singer rides motorcycle and has upside down cross burned into forehead.

Portugal. The Man
My brother turned me on to these guys. They've got some great music. My favorite is this song (below) "People Say"

The volume is way too low for this tune on the video. Great performance though.

I've been down with the Keys for a while. Good band. Also I like The Heavy in general but that was the first song of theirs I heard.

That Portugal The Man was pretty cool, I swear I have heard them before.

Oh yes, I used to listen to that stuff in high school, I can't do it anymore. It gets me too on edge.
