Do I want the trans installed when sizing crank bearings?
« on: April 24, 2010, 06:34:40 AM »
In case you can't tell I nervous about this procedure and dragging my feet alittle.

Do I need the rest of the "stuff" installed in my cases when sizing bearings with plastiguage?

I know It is recommended that you have the rods installed on the crank, is it truly necessary to getting a accurate measurement? What about the trans bearings and trans, k-start, ect?

Any advice or words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

all you need is the crank in place to size the main bearings.  only have to install the rods as you size each rod bearing.
