'72 cb500 four seat options?
« on: May 04, 2010, 01:35:09 PM »
The factory seat on my bike is way to wide and flat for someone as short as I am 5' 6" and I was wondering if there was more than one seat style made for these bikes? The hinge for my seat is on the left side of the bike and havent been able to find anything to replace the couch cushion I have for a seat. Please help out with any knowledge or advice.

so is the seat just too wide? i don't know if your going to find a more narrow seat pan that will work without some modifications. if the bike is too tall for you then try lowing the rear shocks with the tool included in the tool bag. at the lowest setting it should be ok for you. you could get yourself a king/queen double seat and it might be more comfortable. they are ugly as hell but you can get them for cheap here or ebay.

could also shave some of the seat foam... a search will bring up many foam shaving experiences.
