having problems with the clutch while shifting....i cant get on it hard with the throttle otherwise it revs up and feels like its not in gear then seems to catch the gear.....ive read somewhere that the kind of oil might affect the clutch like this and im using 10w-30 mobile..

This will be moved to the 'other bikes' section, but as long as you're not using oil with 'friction modifiers' or says 'fuel saving' on the label...oil is not the issue.

How many miles are on that clutch?
is it simply worn out?

Old clutch springs sometimes become weak, if you replace the clutch discs, replace the springs too.

Is the clutch simply out of adjustment?

A very old clutch cable may have stretched over time making a correct adjustment impossible without a new cable.

Think it through logically, there are a few different factors involved.

only 8 thousand miles on it, not many at all....only thing i can see is the clutch cable has a small bend in it from wear but i cant see how that would affect it when the clutch can be adjusted to the cable..
