Topic: The "other" side of the CB750

So I see often cb750's from the side with the oil tank and they show no side covers. 

I like the minimalist look BUT they never show the "other" side where the electronics are.  What are people doing there?

I would guess relocating everything to under the seat or something like that but what is there then?

Every bike I've seen with no side covers and showing the oil tank only show that side.

its a shame too,the sidecovers make the bike.i wouldnt dare to run mine without the covers

Side covers are a must for a good looking CB750. One of it's standout characteristics.

I swapped in an F oil tank, because I like the frame showing & made a fiberglass cover for the otherside to match. Since the pic I have put better mounts & got rid of the zipties.

Any thread for how you did it? I'm curious, I have a 77K tank I'd like to throw in to show the frame too. That cover looks great!

It was my budget alternative to buying a CR oil tank & moving the electrics. MikeB4 has a great looking CR replica that is an F bike, so the oil tank idea came from his build. I mounted it to the rear tab from the K tank & used a rubber covered 1" clamp for the front. I can shoot you more pics if you want. I thought about cutting off the old ones (mounts) but didnt want to incase I want to go back to the K tank. The lines are from the K tank also, only thing was that I had to hook the lines to the tank & motor, then push the tank into place to bolt it. One of the lines was a little tight but it worked out. Not sure if the F lines are longer or fit different, used what I had. THanks on the cover. Im working on another with tabs molded in, for now I used aluminum sheet & fabbed up to use with dzues fasteners.

Theres a place here in ohio that sells side covers for $35 a pop black only. Let me find it.....
