Topic: Plug caps wiggle room?

I just replaced the plugs on my new bike (750 K6) and noticed that the caps feel a little loose. They snap on, but then there is a good bit of wiggle room...

Is this normal?

There are two kinds of caps. One type is for plugs with the big "bullet" type connector on top. The other type is for plugs with a threaded stud sticking out the top (you can screw a "bullet" thing on there). The "bullet" type should snap on securely. The stud type pushes on with a ratcheting feeling and is fairly loose once on. You can see why, inside the plug cap there's a hole larger than the stud and a spring wire visible going crossways in a notch a few mm down the hole. This spring wire presses in and contacts the stud (and makes that ratchety sound/feeling on the threads when pushed on). The stud is loose in the hole and you can move the cap around but there's good contact with the spring wire or the side of the hole the stud is pressed against.

I have the larger bullet type and they just feel too loose, but they won't fall off...they're snapped on.

The bike runs, but I haven't put any miles on it yet. I guess I'll have to do that to see how things turn out. I'm just trying to troubleshoot any upcoming issues.

My plug caps are like that too. If you hear the "snap" then its on there. Someone might tell you different, but I think you are good to go.
