I have one for you, I have a brother-in law who does restores on Nortons and any I see for sale I flick him a photo, this one came up this week and he replied asking what the large cut away was for in the seat.
He surmised that you need big balls to ride a Norton (his words) and therefore it may be an area to stow them while riding! ;D

This is my good friend Kileys CB360. Well, it was a cb360. The list of mods is... extensive to say the least. Certainly wonderful, and ya a little weird.

Motor has a NOS, and machined head, custom external oil cooler with electric pump, Arctic Cat VM30s, and plenty of other things done since these pics. This is the loudest Honda twin I have ever heard, and runs like a rabbit with its ass on fire.





Hes working on a new seat and some other mods to the bike now as well.

You guys know him here as Kanticoy, the builder/owner of some one of the nicest CB400f racers around.

When I was a teenager and not too interested in "old" bikes I was at the local rubbish dump one day when a guy with a trailer load of Honda Dream 305 and 205's dumped the lot, about 5 bikes in all and spare motors and wheels.
Now I didn't know much about these strange old machines, only that as bikes I should try to save them...all!
As I backed up my trailer, the local council bulldozer driver ran a TD25 right over the top of all of them!!!! :'(

This has to fall under the wonderful category, my mate had one of these and apart from the slab of concrete seat it when like a possum with it's ass on fire, in a straight line nothing could touch the H1 and this baby has been sitting 20 years waiting to be awoken.
I do hope the buyer is an experienced rider as these 500's had the notorious reputation of putting more riders in hosptial (sometimes the cemetry) than anything else of the early 70's.
