Just bought a '71 CB 750
« on: June 15, 2010, 07:26:08 PM »
Hi,
I picked up a K1 today, part of of two for one deal. It didn't want to come off his trailer without wd40 and gentle rocking ! The license plate was last registered in '89. He said "the motor don't spin" , I got it to spin from the kick starter after getting it home. My garage smells like a PB blaster factory but that stuff released the controls, petcock, etc. I call the bike "Tinman"
The bike is in rough shape but  I have a good feeling about it.I'm going to change the oil and do a comp. test and see if I can't get her to fire. Wish me luck !!

No doubt about the name.  Sounds cool.  Makes me want to change mine to the scarecrow or dorothy.   ;D
