here is how she sits now after lots of cleaning, some speed holes, home made exhaust, filled emblems, electronic ignition, new coils, lowered the forks through the trees 1.5" (quicker steering andfeels like a much smaller bike this way), Home made side cover, pod filters, jets and new tires, chain and sprockets.

well... only been 2 years and i finally decided to redo the CB.
Got a new frame and started making some modifications i.e. fitting seat, cutting tabs etc. Thats when i noticed the PO had hacked off the kickstand leaving a large gash in the frame....

finally to pull the engine... I was alone and didn't want to tip the bike for fear of damaging the engine so i came up with this.... Removed all bolts and mounting bits and anything that will hold it up. Left 2 bottom bolts in. Took a foldable ladder in a scaffolding shape and put a 2x4 across the rungs through the frame where the carbs would be. I then used 2 ratchet straps and looped them from the 2x4 to the engine around the alternator and timing bumps. Then I ratcheted up the engine alternating sides and proceeded to CAREFULLY walk the bike out to the side. It took a lot of wiggling  because i left the exhaust studs on, but all in all it was fairly easy. As I walked the bike out i kept a milk crate next to the frame in case the engine fell and to set it on when done. Worked pretty well....
