Hi RobbertCole, you have come to the right forums for sure.. First order of buisness is to figure out exactly what you want to do with your 550 and then start searching.. The front page has links from Hondaman on tips, tricks etc.. He sure knows his stuff.. Enjoy and Happy riding from S.E. Wisconsin..

P.S. I bought my project (my avatar) from Madison..

Nice bike! I just got back from a little ride and it seems I have some clutch issues I need to sort out. :-\

A great clutch in a 550 just does it job. fresh oil does wonders for the way they feel and shift but I have not have a 550 clutch that did not slip if you ride it hard, I currently have two 550's a 74 K and 76 F

I have no clue if its clutch cable adjustment or what but once the thing gets warm it just seems to fall out of gear.I think its just poping in to neutral. I dont even know what the first step to working on it is.

that sounds more like a shift fork may be bent or warn. The problems I get are slipping during hard shifts or quick starts and a hard time finding neutral.

It always feels smoother and neutral is easier to find with fresh oil.

I'd clean her up change the oil and put some miles on it and see how it does. take mental notes, if it does something note when and where.

enjoy
