« on: June 22, 2010, 05:32:14 pm »
These carbs are off a 550F if that matters. I dont have my clymer book yet and havent been successfull at finding it online. Cant get a part number or what this is called. Its clearly the wrong part and I want to get a new one.

Bikebandit.com has a parts list here..

http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1974-honda-motorcycle-cb550/o/m9230

You maybe able to find it there.. Complete with pictures and OEM numbers.. If I had any extra I would throw it your way..
If I run across any one with a spare I will let you know..

According to the parts list it doesn't appear to be listed. ???
It's the float bowl drain screw. By the look of that bolt in there I'd say the original thread in the bowl is '$crewed!'.
I think you'll be looking for another bowl for that carb  :(

Thank you thats what I am looking for. but one more question I looked and on the blue print and cant seem to find that one screw or what its called. Looks like they have it in kits and for the whole assembly.

There's a sticky thread at the top of the SOCH/4 Forum section called "*** Download Motorcycle Manuals ***".

You can download manuals for your bike there, including parts lists and wiring diagrams.

I understand the urge to replace parts that aren't correct, but unless you're actually planning to drain your carb bowls....

Personally if it doesn't leak I'd just swap that bowl onto one of the center carbs and forget it's there.
