Ural with sidecar...cheap?
« on: June 22, 2010, 09:24:20 pm »
There's a guy selling a 1998 Ural 650 with sidecar near me... has title, hasn't run since he stopped riding 2 years ago but apparently he just parked it and let the gas/carbs go bad. He's looking for 1500...

I don't know anything about them, but I've always wanted a sidecar bike... The ones I look at for sale are all crazy expensive...like 4-8 thousand.

Does this sound like a good deal?!?!

If the bike and side car are in good shape (minus not running) then yes.  The side car alone could be sold for that much here.

I want a ural so bad! I would definitely pick that up for 1500. Even if it has pretty major issues, It's still probably worth that.

I've seen the 650 version go for as low as $3,000 in decent running condition, sounds like a deal.  Just be warned that you'll eventually want a 750, and then a 2WD version if you get the bug!
