Good start on that 550.  On the Duc,  I would add some superbike bars or clubmans and roll it that way.  Toss those z-bars in the dumpster.   I would love to have an old Duc like that!

Thanks man. That Ducati means the world to my dad. The story behind it is he bought it new in 1970, at some point it fell over while my mom was on it and smashed her leg (that's all she has to say about it - apparently it was painful). At some point my dad let his brother borrow it. He told him he could have fun with it but don't destroy it. When he got it back it looked like it does now. It sat in the basement of the barn until I was about 8 (I'm 25 now) then my dad brought it down and put it in his shed where it remained hidden until now. Working on my Honda with him recently got him excited about it and we went up and looked at it. When he looks at it now he gets real pissed off and curses his brother, but I told him - hey, that's what you guys did back then with bikes, and that's what little brothers do. Anyway, it will be fun to restore. I just ordered a frame ID with stamps from http://guzzino.com to start the restoration. As for the 550, I'm waiting on a polished aluminum alloy tank and seat before I start the major overhaul. Just trying to get the bike inspected for now. Should be ready this weekend.

Good Luck.

I want to order Pirelli Sport Demons. Not sure what size rear to get. Someone previously suggested to get the 120. Thoughts or pictures?

I'll post an updated pic of my bike. Later tonight.

I just ordered a Bridgestone 120/90-18 for my '76 550F for $62 and free shipping from Motorcycle Superstore.

They have the Pirelli too, but for $110:

Don't forget to get a tube and rim strip too.

Okay. Here's the bike as of yesterday. Should pass inspection now. Well, once I get the tires on.

I'm going to start ordering some other parts for the major over haul now. Stay tuned. Should be a blog update soon also.

Tell me what you guys think. I wasn't too sure about the black chain or the chrome spokes. Any other comments are welcome. And if you want photoshop work done like this, email this kid, his work is amazing. I can't believe he made that polished aluminum tank look so real and he even made the Honda decal curve with the tank.
