CB350F vs CB750K: Clutch and kickstart differences
« on: June 27, 2010, 12:11:12 PM »
So I went to start my girlfriend's 350F and wasn't paying attention to what gear I was in.  I pulled the clutch lever (disengaged the clutch) and went with a heavy right leg for the kickstarter.  My leg went straight to the ground- no pistons moving, no transmission movement, just the kickstartor lever 'free wheeling'.

After searching the forum, I believe it is normal that when in neutral, and the clutch lever pulled (clutch disengaged), the kickstartor 'free wheels', at least on a 350F.

The reason I initially thought something was wrong was because my '73 750K3 will grab when in neutral and the clutch lever is pulled (clutch disengaged).  Anybody know what the difference in design of the 350 and the 750 is?  I can't tell by the standard Honda fiches.
