Now if you can fab me up some nifty covers with vents for my Ultra Modern (not period correct for cafe)but overheating optic ignition sensor, that would be great!!

do you mean a scope vent in the points cover? that can be arranged, but its not going to keep it dry. i need to know the motor cc to get the screw position right.

My bike is a K8 750.

My issue is that my PowerArc ignition doesn't like heat.  I was thinking of a points cover with the face of it having a series of overhanging vents.  The slight overhang would keep "gravity water" ie rain out.  Splashing up is a risk tho.
I would think if you center lined on the mid point on the horizontal axis and then step them above and below to form a semitrical pattern that would be cool.  Probably 5 vents total, the largest in middle and then smaller and smaller.
If you look at Joker Machines covers you can see a clutch cover that has a similar look to what I was thinking, I would love it to have a over hang "hood" to the opening.

Does that make any sense??

I have worked with fiberglass but am completely clueless as to how to mold a CF part. Would you give me a short spiel on how you made the mold and layed up the part.

its mostly the same. you just use the carbon as the top layer. i prefer to vacuum bag, or infusion, but most of the parts i make don't require such extreme measures. the most important is the fiberglass cloth and resin. you're going to have to use 2X2 satin weave twill, and a high performanse epoxy resin. once you use it you'll never visit the hardware/auto parts store again. i'm making a fender soon i'll post a video/picks when i do it for more info.
