Was that on the 14/43 gearing and which strip did you run it, what's the best quarter mile time you've recorded ?

im curious about quarter time too,sam ran a low 7.90 on my cbr 600 at piedmont a couple of years ago.ive been thinking about building a 750 dragbike, but i dont think the expense to make it go quick enough is worth the money.ive been 12.42 on my cbr and im a no riding mofo.if somebody can tell me how to build an 11 second 750 somewhat cheap(less than 2 grand)ill listen.

That was after just 4 passes Mark, I'm sure a high 6 would be possible with more seat time and set up. ;) It was a nice bike to ride, you need to get out on it more. 8)
I'd bet you a stock motored 750 could run 11s if it could be made light enough.

Sorry about the pic, i cannot figure out posting pics on here. With the 14/43 gearing my best time has been 11.80s, which i only ran once on a 1/4 mile strip last year. I mainly race on a 1/8th mile track, it will run 7.30s-7.40s with a 220lb rider. 92-93mph. Bike has solid rear, 5.5in goodyear slick. charging system has been removed, along with electric starter. Also running airshift and 2 step.

My Old drag bike {i didn't race it} ran in the 10's, it was 776cc with 14.5to1 compression running wheelie bars and old CR31's with methanol, i have all the documentation and times put away, when i get it out i will post more. This is just after i bought it...

Retro, your pic looks like it might have been taken in the US south-west! Not near my home town on the CA central coast; not enough eucalyptus trees. ;)
