 Hey, is it just me or is anyone else experiencing problems with ebay today? I can't review what I'm watching on my ebay and when I try to put a watch on somethings (quite a few), I get a message that it is either listed wrong or is unavailable. Yes, it seems they are experiencing technical difficulties.

A somewhat more pressing problem, IMO, is that everyone selling on Ebay seems to think their average condition CB750 with 25,000 miles on the clock is worth four or five grand. I have an entire page full of red "You did not win this item, reserve not met" on MyEbay. 

Maybe they've all seen what a sandcast bike goes for and don't know the difference.

Or heck, maybe I've been away from SOHC's for too many years and that's what these bikes are worth now.

Frustrating, at any rate.

Most of the time if you're looking for a good deal on a used bike, you want to stay away from ebay.  Check the papers, Craigslist, garage sales, and this forum, that's where the deals are.

I've been keeping an eye on every source I'm aware of, and have come across a total of two bikes that were of interest to me. Both sold by the time I saw the ads, and that's with a month of looking.

The last time I went looking (about ten years ago, in the Los Angeles/Orange County area) you could hardly open a Cycle Trader without a 750 landing in your lap. Today, in the same area, nada.
