The worst part (for me) in building a hardtail or rigid Honda is that you get that large empty area when the tranny of a Hardley resides.

I have a question about the exhaust on these cb 4's, In my reading up on them I was under the impression that as far as the exhaust 1&3 and 2&4 fire alike and the pipes should be hooked up that way, is this true or have I misread the information? Of course then access to the oil filter would be compromised I thought that is why honda put a crossover tube on the stock exhaust pipes to equalize back pressure or something?

umm? no cross over tube on these bikes,,they do appear on others ,most of these run 4-4,or 4-2 or 4-1,a custom pipe might have it,err?,not really a done thing.

Not an actual cross over tube, but at the end of the mufflers on each side there is a connection (some type of hose and clamp) unless I am mistaken.
