Hey sorry its been so long since my last update... I'm a highschool teacher and school just started so I've been pretty busy these days. I'm still not completely sure on what I want to do with the paint yet, but I am definitly leaning towards the second photoshop option with the black on the outside. we'll see though, i might try a few different photoshop mockups with some other color schemes. cdoggy, thanks for posting those pics. Those are all nice bikes to use as inspiration.
Over the weekend I've made a little progress. I decided to mount a small digital speedometer. I like the look of just the tach mounted in the center so I wanted the speedo to be fairly inconspicuous. I picked the speedo up from a bicycle shop down the street. Out of the box it had bicycle logos on it and was made of an ugly smoke colored plastic so I painted it black and gold to match some of the other accents on the bike. It shows speed, odometer, trip mileage, average speed, clock, etc....
