Royal Enfield is releasing a sweet cafe bike as a 2012 model.  I'm getting one!

Yep well,the CB 1100R is mo'sexy than the 'fake' R.E. x 100...... Japan eats India IMO for the forseeable future with bikes.....

Spanner,
These new CB1100's are a great bike.
Still have to knock up a few more miles on it to test it out, but so far I'm as happy as a dog with 2 d1cks.
A mate has just bought a new Harley and it's a nice machine, but for 30K I'd be getting 2 of these Hondas without thinking twice about it.

I test rode a Bonneville and nearly crashed from the tears of disappointment that welled up in my eyes.  The Thruxton looks mighty tasty, but after 2 GB500's, I knew that reach would kill me.  So- I got a W650 and love it.

New new;  I want to compare the V7 Classic with the new Royal Enfield UCE and Ural ST.  I heard all the new ST's are pre-sold, but they sure look good.  Occasionally I fantasize about getting into a TU250X, but 'prolly never gonna happen.  Along those lines, I sure like this guy's work; http://britonbees.com/

Top end speed is not much concern to me, as any fool can go fast in a straight line.  Before I think seriously about any other bikes, I want to save my dimes and quarters and go to track school.  There's a lot left in the bikes I already have that I don't tap into.

 b o r i n g

I felt it was exactly what owners of British and American bikes used to say about UJM's;  like riding a sewing machine.  Cold and dry.  An appliance.  Quite competent, I'm sure- but you don't have to break down by the side of the road or have mirrors fall off to get a little soul in your bike.  A little personality.

I had expectations of paying cash that day for a new bike.  After a little research, I bought a W650 and now I feel a little sorry for Bonneville owners.  I know that makes me sound like an ass (and a pretentious ass, at that), but the W >IMHO< is so much better.  I really like it.  In fact, I think I'll post a picture of it.

Just a couple of mods;

Thanks mate, actually thats what i thought you meant...."sterile" and its a shame because they look so nice and are priced well. I have also looked at the "W" series bikes and was impressed at how "old" looking they were....a little more soul to by the sound of things.... ;)

I'm voting in the Guzzi V7 camp-  just love the look of it.  Second choice would be the thruxton, followed by the ducati.  But seriously.  A guzzi.

That guy is doing sme cool things, Mr Sammer.  His full race model is only $2500. ! His shop is only 5 or 6 miles from me.  Very old school, like pictures you see of old repair shops.
