John britten T-shirt 1994
« on: February 22, 2006, 09:33:56 PM »
I have one of these I want to list on eBay. Any ideas as to how popular this might be? I have no idea about a reserve price.

If I get a good price I can buy parts for my bike

Any suggestions about reserve?

...A few days later and it's listed up now...

Sorry I can't help you on price, but I suggest you give the Britten Motorcycle workshop a ring and ask them if they sold merchandise in the states, then you would know the rarity or not of your shirt, or just wear it with pride. The merchandise number is Christchurch 379 3991

um... why won't you let us see it?  i've been infatuated with the britten motorcycle for sometime now and wouldn't mind a bday gift to myself... unless you want like 300 dollars for the damn thing... then you can forget it!   :P ;D

Thanks for that advice scunny, will phone them tomorrow..

heffay, nice one, the Britten story is a 3 or 4 year slice of motorcycling history that won't be repeated. I think it is as significant as the Vincent story....only 8 bikes made (I think)..If you have got a spare seven figures lying around you can buy one of his bikes, if you can find one, if it's for sale..so the T-shirt dated 1994 when they were at the top of their game links you directly to the phenomenon for only, maybe a hundred bucks?   Got to be a bargain at $300.

The best part of "The John Britten Story" video is the bit at Daytona where Andrew Stroud (I think it was) pops a wheelie as he overtakes the best Ducati that factory could put on the track. Amazing and a bit emotional really when you think about it.

Will post a pic when it arrives in the mail in case anyone is interested.
