How the hell does this filler lock clip go in??

I can't seem to get this bugger in properly how it was. Can someone post a picture of theirs installed? I'd keep playing with it, but I don't wanna scratch up any paint. Oh that beautiful beautiful paint!

Now this is from a 750 k tank, but I'm guessing it's going to be the same, just going by the look of the wire/clip holder, in any case I think you will need to rebend your wire.

It goes in sideways and then rotates it into place. I squeeze the wire arms together in the middle and then snap in the loop end first and then the other end. The loop part of yours looks to be pretty distorted, it is round on mine.
