Need some guidence

Hello all. Great board you guys have here. I did a bit of searching but didn't really find what I was looking for so I figured I would ask. Bottom line, I want to get on old cb750 to turn into a hard tail bobber.
I want to know if there are any models I should avoid.
I have checked out tigmans site and I like his weld on hardtail kits. I plan to go with one of them. It looks like he makes them for the single and the DOHC.
I bring this up simply because I have the choice of 2 bikes pretty close to me. a 1976 cb750K and a 1980 CB750F. I know this is the SOHC forum and all but I just wanted a little guidance here. Should I keep looking?
I am not new to working on motorcycles. I am new to building a custom one. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Tigman has a good reputation as far as I know, go with the sohc 750.

sohc.. way more stuff for them out there, and many builds to draw ideas from..
dohc, if you want more challenge, but I bet the sohc will be worth more & easier to sell, when done..

Thanks guys. From searching around it does seem there is more stuff around for the 69-78 SOHC bikes. I recently missed out on a rusty 72. Hope I have better luck with the 76.
