CB750K4 Swingarm Removal Question

Hello, I hope this is the right spot to post this question.

I am nearly done stripping my bike down to the frame but am stuck on the swingarm. I unscrewed one side but the other side doesn't budge after hammering or turning the bolt. Is there a method? Should I kept trying to turn?

You need a bigger hammer....

If you have removed the nut then you just need to get after it with a hard rubber or nylon mallet and drive out the bolt.

Okay thanks for the reply! I've been using PB Blaster / Liquid Wrench and hammering with a mallet. I'll step up the power after I let the oil sink into the bolt. I assume it's rusty or seized.

Yeah, get medieval on its a$$!

Really, what happens is the bolt seizes to the "collar"  which seizes to the bushings and it ain't goin nowhere. (Get a parts diagram) Take your shocks off and see if the swingarm goes up and down freely (as free as you would think a suspension component should be) or not. I'll bet its really stiff. You shold be able to raise it and let go it should fall quickly from its own weight. (Kinda hold onto it in case I'm wrong)

This is common with our bikes and if you've been riding it like that, new parts in the pivot area will feel wonderful.

PS: Also the bolt may be seized to the frame.
